Labour provision is the supply of SIA-licensed security personnel. You name the post, the hours, the licence type and who directs the officer on site. Novus Altair employs the officer, checks the SIA licence, and screens to BS 7858.
Labour supply, not a managed contract
On a labour-provision agreement, your supervisor directs the officer’s tasks. We remain the employer and can replace the officer. Where you want Novus Altair to write the assignment instructions, supervise the site and file the incident reports, that is a managed security service. Say which one you need when you ask for a quote.
Who we supply
- Security officers with a current SIA security guarding licence
- Door supervisors with a current SIA door supervisor licence, where the post requires it

- Clients who already supervise their own site and need extra licensed officers
- Security companies that need additional licensed staff
This is security labour only. We do not supply general, non-security labour.
Labour provision is not a separate SIA Approved Contractor activity. Our ACS approval remains security guarding, door supervision, key holding and close protection. Safecontractor status includes labour agency, listed on Accreditations.
